Hip Hop is the way we live. It's the ironic thoughts we have which sometimes contradict each other. Even when they do contradict each other, we still say them because that's hip hop! Having the courage to say the things your thinking at that time. It's the everyday thoughts that never have a voice until we put a beat behind them. It's a voice that has created it's own culture and has been powerful enough to influence the rest of the world. Hip Hop is "the trendsetter" as a culture, "the brave" as a voice, and a "way of life" for the people. - DMO

Hip hop is about confidence, clever explanations, and competitive spirit. Being an artist, and a fan of hip hop, these things spew out of my character and daily living. Talking to a girl, any job that has to do with sales or service, whatever. All of them can be done well when you carry the three things that make up hip hop's essence.

At the same time, you have to empower yourself with knowledge,  to truly compete in hip hop. Book smart, street smart, and knowledge of self. The more equipped you are, the more versatile and dangerous you are. So when im saying you should carry that hip hop essence, doesn't mean you walk around like you're rapping to everybody. More so, knowing your audience,  and how to wow them with your wordplay.

HipHop is a way of life for myself and countless others. It's not just music, it is a way of expressing myself so people can understand me a little better. HipHop is a voice for the people as well, If it wasn't then it wouldn't be as popular as it has been for so long. It's impact on the world is remarkable. The labels know the power of HipHop yet they try to tarnish it with these gimmicks they display to us everyday on TV and the radio. HipHop is a provider, provided many people who came from nothing with jobs and a way to support their families. HipHop is a hero, it has saved many lives. Hip-hop is a genre of music where you can create the whole vibe, truth or illusion with your words. That being said many use hip-hop to show an image thats unrealistic. We have so many gangbangers and youth killing each other and selling extremely addictive drugs because their idols in hip-hop mostly lie and say that that life is lucrative. I was brainwashed by some people in hip-hop, I got into illegal activity instead of striving toward my own education and empowerment. Hip-hop puts people down and makes them see the biggest names with gold chains cars and girls. In reality most of those big rappers are liars or broke. My music is changing that. When I get signed into a deal and my name is even more prevalent I will tell the world how fake their favorite artists are and illuminate the careers of the real artists in the game and coming up. Reality is hip-hop and when hip-hop is clouded by these fake artists the message behind the music gets clouded. - Rising Tuscan

 Hip hop has shaped our lives in a positive way. We used music to express our creativity and passion for expressing ourselves through music. To us, it's not about being rich and famous, it's about the art. Creating something new, and along the way, improving how we express our creativity to the audience. Other artists of different hiphop genre are people we learn from, listening and understanding what they say and do in their music, and how they do it is something we take into account for when we create our own music so we can continue to grow. We are contributing in the development of hiphop culture through humor. For this song, we wanted to shed some humor to hip hop and show that it's not just something that has to necessarily be violent and aggressive. - F.A.N.
